As you PROBABLY have already figured out, I’m pretty much done with blogging here. It’s not that I’m out of blogging completely – I’ve actually got dozens of blog posts brewing inside my head – but I just feel like this blog belongs in the past as I’ve spent so much time on it with someone who fortunately isn’t a part of my life anymore.

So I’m glad to announce that I have made a new blogging home here, where I continue with my daily nonsense. Please follow the kibbles over there!

Won’t sleep

Due to some harrassment from my ex-boyfriend’s side I have been keeping my internet presence in the minimum. Sorry if I scared anyone on Twitter, I am totally fine now and won’t pretend I don’t exist anymore.

It also seems I won’t be doing much sleeping either, it is almost 1am and I am blogging from my bed. And I am actually going to start making use of this WordPress app now, so the next time you will be hearing from me I’ll be in class. Don’t get too excited, it is bound to get you bored too.

I started writing this post a few days ago, but my words kept coming out in stupid manners so I gave up. I’ll just keep it short so I can return to my usual bloggage next week:

I broke up with my fiance almost three weeks ago.

He moved out back to England a week ago.

No need to feel bad for me, because I’m happy now for the first time in what seems like ages. Funny what you get used to.

I’m, er, sort of involved with someone else now. It scares the shit out of me, to be brutally honest.

And that’s about it. Watch this space for more ballet stuff, my autumn break plans and other nonsense.

I honestly will finally write about what has been going on recently, I will just have to wait until next Sunday to properly get the freedom to do it, and obviously I can’t write about it to its full extent if it isn’t properly over yet. No need to worry about me, I’ll be fine!

Katri goes ballet

A million years ago I promised I’d write about my ballet class, so I finally will now. It has already been four classes and I was supposed to report in after the first one, gah.

Being just my luck, it was the rainiest day of autumn until then when I had to cycle to my class. I reckoned I looked appropriate for a ballet class before I left, and after I arrived I looked more suitable for the day after of a Black Sabbath concert. After I had some control over my make-up and hair again, I wandered back to the dressing room that was incredibly quiet. I felt like it was entirely my fault that I had been cycling through rain, and others simply never had to endure such inconvenience. Obviously no one cared, but it still felt like everyone was staring at me trying to peel my soaked jeans off my legs like some kind of dumbass. My t-shirt had also got partially wet under my jacket, which made me look like I had a particularly sweaty abdomen.

Great.

After the first ten minutes I had pretty much decided to never go back again. I looked like a moron, no one talked to anyone, and apart from a couple of older women (Older as in older than me but not actually old.) everyone else in the class was younger than me. Just another sign of getting older, I guess, I’m no longer the babiest one anywhere.

The rest of the class actually went better and I no longer felt like I will run away and never return again. I think I did pretty well in general, but unfortunately I am not the natural talent I was wishing to be. I have been practicing at home every week, though, making sure I won’t have to end up being the slow kid of the class.

All in all, I really am very much enjoying it, and I’m glad I finally did it. It is a 60-minute class and I never believe it has been that long when we finish. There’s so many little things to learn that I never would have learned from books, and the teacher is really good with correcting silly little mistakes that you don’t even think matter. They matter to me, of course, me being totally anal about everything, and because I go to the class to be AWESOME, not to dick around in silly slippers.

I know. It’s really, really lame. Everytime I come back saying OMG, sorry, I will totally start writing properly again! And then I don’t. But I’m actually serious this time, because the reason I haven’t written in ages was that I was planning to just leave this blog and start another one which would be TOTALLY DIFFERENT and TOTALLY COOL unlike this drivel here.

Then I remembered I will, in fact, never be cool, so I might as well stop trying. Also, you can try to get me out of cats but you can’t get the cats out of me. …or something. Maybe you should ingore that.

Playing with my new phone

I was finally able to start using my new phone today, hooray! I will never have to shoo Chris off the computer again, I’ve got all I need right here. This also means I will never be bored in class again! Oh, the endless possibilities.

I took Tiki to the vet today, poor widdle thing. She’s still pretty much out of it and wearing a cone, I’ll see if I can add a pic.

Yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve written a proper post, but there’s been a lot of messed up stuff going on so instead of writing cryptic blog posts about nothing I thought I might as well not post anything at all. I’m back now, though, and hopefully feeling better, and stuff.

Chris’s parents visited us at the end of July so I’ll write about that (with pictures!) at some point. I will also report about my first ballet class (OMG!!!) which will happen today.

This has got nothing to do with anything, but I love this song.

Monday 1^st of August

I went for an audition to become a magician’s assistant yesterday and I’m still yet to hear from them. I think I did rather well, though. I didn’t even drop the rabbit or anything, and my leotard was on the right way round.

Tuesday 2^nd of August

Hooray, a phone call! I got the job! I will go practice with the magician tomorrow and our first show together is on Sunday. It does sound awfully soon for a first time, but it’s only a short show and my main job is just stand there and look pretty. I’m good at that. I will be doing more demanding stuff later, I’m sure. Like appearing from antique wardrobes and the like.

Thursday 4^th of August

The rehearsal yesterday was great. I got to move some stuff around on the stage and wear a pink top hat. The magician said I can take part in an act he’s been rehearsing by himself, but he wouldn’t reveal what it was as it’s apparently super secret. He said even his mother doesn’t know, and he doesn’t trust me yet so I can’t be told either. I am feeling a bit offended. After all, in third grade, I got the Most Reliable award from the teacher. I offered to take it to work today but the magician said he’s not going to change his mind.

Friday 5^th of August

He still hasn’t changed his mind. However, he has changed his stage name. He is now called Magic Steve, instead of Steve of Mystery. I didn’t see the point in such a small change, but he said I will learn the ways of the business soon and then mumbled something about “the case”. I wonder if I should buy him a new suit case for Christmas as a thank you for choosing me? On the other hand, I’m sure he’s got some kind of a special suit case only for magicians and I don’t think we have a shop like that anywhere near. I do have an Amazon giftcard, though, so I could use that for it, I don’t know what I could get for myself.

Saturday 6^th of August

Lost my best leotard today. Magic Steve (Whose name, as I just found out, is actually Dave.) said he hasn’t seen it anywhere. I thought it best not to bother him with it anymore, as he seemed to be having an uncomfortable wedgie all the time. Must be the nerves, the big show is tomorrow.

Sunday 7^th of August

He is going to cut me in half! Not for real, of course, it’ll be a part of the show. I am so excited, it is a classic trick after all. Just stole some time for myself to write this down, will continue after I’m back home.

Wednesday 31st of August

Well, I am finally back home now. Everyone has been really kind, my neighbour even took care of DrPaws for me. Man, I am so glad I didn’t use my Amazon giftcard yet, I’ve heard they’ve got real nice prosthetic legs.

I find my own train of thought to be pretty shattered so that’s how I like my poetry too. (Ever since I read Juice Leskinen‘s poetry at my dad’s when I was little, haha.) I just feel silly posting poems on the internet because it feels like you’d have to be particularly good to be allowed to show anyone any, while with “normal” writing you wouldn’t have to be as good.

ANYWAY, my prompt this week was “Penny for your thoughts” by Sunshine. I was originally going to write about my actual thoughts but then realised they’ve been pretty boring recently and no one needs to hear about them.
